William Traylor was an African-American self-taught artist from Lowndes County, Alabama. Born into slavery, Traylor spent the majority of his life after emancipation as a sharecropper. It was only after 1939, following his move to Montgomery, Alabama, that Traylor began to draw.

She adopted the owl and the cat, familiars of the witch, for compositions in which she wanted to emphasize those roles.

Hovik Kochinian was born in the Lori region of Armenia in 1953. In his youth, he exhibited great interest in fine arts. He started attending art school at age 7. In 1972 Hovik graduated from the State University of Armenia. During his student years, he participated in several state and nationwide exhibitions.

Invader is an anonymous French street artist. He is known for his ceramic tile mosaics modeled on the pixelated art of 1970s–1980s 8-bit video games, many of which depict the titular aliens from the arcade games Space Invaders, Pac-Man and Super Mario Bros.

Robert Lemay graduated from the University of Alberta with a BFA in 1984. He began exhibiting in galleries the following year, in 1985. He has had over 20 solo shows in cities across Canada, including Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal. He also shows his work in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Lemay has travelled extensively, studying the art in museums in Europe and the United States.

Thrashbird, is a Los Angeles-based street artist of unverified identity known for his billboard takeovers, stencils and wheatpastes. Thrashbird is known for putting his work in urban areas where his message can reach a large target audience. The artist became known with his image of the texting clone, a silhouette of a slender figure in a hoodie, glued to his phone and hunched to read the screen.
